[ This week has been too eventful for his tastes and somehow not in the way he's liked...enough so that it warranted a nap for most of today and last night. Though, he supposes it could've always been worse, and maybe it's better than being bored out of his mind, but it was what it was.
Though, because of what he's been doing (all that sudden traveling in a cave for a day and then falling into a well for another), he hasn't spoken much to Towa this week.
If asked, he wouldn't have said he'd become accustomed to it (he'd been kind of teaching her the way of the sword too), and left it at that. But, it's a fact that he has.
He stops by Towa's door and gives it a knock, before waiting. ]
[Towa has been struggling through some personal trials of her own-- as a result, she's really not been getting out there as much as she wanted to.
On the other hand, McBurn is someone that Towa trusts can handle himself no matter what gets thrown at him, so she hasn't worried too much.
Seeing him at her door though, she wonders if she's caused the opposite to happen. It's funny how much she's come to see him as a strange, yet trustworthy sort of friend over these few short weeks.]
Oh! Good evening. Would you like to come in? I don't have much, but there's some tea and leftover cake.
[ Trials of murder and such are just that powerful - to the point that even cultivating such a thing may be happen. Though, being unused to such things, with the closest before being 'work associates' or 'enemy/rival' it's been an interesting thing to deal with.
Friendship was just that alien to him. ]
...Got nothing else better to do.
[ He's saying this and yet he's the one who knocked!!
Anyway, he'll yawn and wait for her to move so he can head in. ]
So, encounter anything actually exciting in this place? Since it doesn't look like we've crossed paths that much this week.
[She'll go gather the things she needs while he makes himself comfortable.]
No, unfortunately not. Not anything useful unfortunately.
[...ahhhh. But enough of this negativity. If they're catching up then there should be something more interesting she can tell him about.]
Oh! But last week there were some fun games I got to play on the computers! I didn't realize it before, but in some of these worlds they've really developed some interesting forms of entertainment.
["Fun" only relative to the fact that computer games don't yet exist back home.]
[ He'll seat himself on the floor, next to the bed with his back against it with one of his legs straight while the other knee bent and him lying an arm lazily over it.
But hey, if they're talking about things they discovered, he may as well tell her. She'd probably find more value in it than he does. And it's not like he hasn't given "reports" before, despite the way he is. ]
...Ran into some things, where there were several tablets with information I'm sure you'll probably find important. One had something about the 'Courtesy' in them.
Fell into a well with some of the others, and a part - or different version - of that Conductor seemed to be in there somehow.
[ ...He'll eyeball her a little. Just seeing if she looks tired or exhausted, really. Kind of like how he did with Mithos. ]
And a week or so back, that lady spoke to me about the nature of that Clockwork Sun.
[If she was tired, she hides it well as he begins to explain everything he's done and learned.]
You're not hurt are you?
[She knows he can handle himself but still. More than anything though, she's glad he chose to share it with her.]
It sounds like you really learned a lot. I'm impressed. If you want, I can take some notes. We should probably share this with everyone when we get the chance.
